Registration & Payment

As Alberta does not yet publicly fund birth centres, there will be a facility fee of $400 + GST. This includes the breakfast and all supplies that you might need. Specific items such as homeopathic remedies and herbs for birth and post-partum can be purchased at the centre.

In order to have your baby at the Birth Centre you must be under the care of a midwife registered in Alberta, not necessarily a Lucina Midwife. 

To register at the birth centre, fill in the BnB form, the link to the form is to the left of this page. You can submit the form online or fax it to the Birth Centre and we will contact you to confirm your booking. After you have received confirmation from us, there is a $50 administration fee that must be dropped off or mailed to Lucina Birth Centre. The remaining $370 (includes $20 GST) must be paid, in full, by the 37th week of your pregnancy. If an obstetrical and/or medical complication arises that requires you to deliver at the hospital, the $367.50 will be refunded.

Tours

Group tours of the Lucina Centre are scheduled 3rd Friday of every month at 2:30pm. If you are interested in seeing the Centre please drop by on one of those Fridays at 2:30pm.
